APAC WEBINAR SERIES

5-base HiFi sequencing –Accuracy, Read Length & Methylation Calling

Friday, 22 April 2022
8:30 am-9:30 am (India Standard Time)
11:00 am–12:00 pm (Singapore)
12:00-1:00 pm (Seoul, Tokyo)
2:00-3:00 pm (Melbourne)

Join us on Friday, 22 April 2022 from 11:00 am-12:00 pm (Singapore Time) for the next iteration of the PacBio Asia Pacifc webinar series featuring Dr. Aaron Wenger of PacBio.

Dr. Wenger will be presenting how PacBio HiFi sequencing simultaneously measures DNA sequence and epigenetic modifications providing long, accurate reads with methylation status. In effect, HiFi sequencing measures DNA as 5 bases – A, C, G, T, and 5mC – without requiring special library preparation like bisulfite treatment or special basecalling analysis.

HiFi methylation calling is highly concordant with other methods and recapitulates known phenomena like hypomethylation at active transcription start sites. The long reads access additional regions of the genome and enable phasing of epigenetic marks.

Attend this webinar to find out how the results will be presented on 5-base HiFi sequencing of human cell lines, human rare disease cases, non-human vertebrates, and plants
