Bioinformatics Workflows for Amplicon Sequencing: from HiFi Data to Results

Date:

Tuesday, June 22, 2021

Time:

7:00 a.m. PDT
10:00 a.m. EDT
3:00 p.m. BST

The Sequel IIe System generates highly accurate long reads (HiFi reads) from genes or regions of interest ranging in size from several hundred base pairs to 25 kb with >99.9% single-molecule read accuracy. This allows you to detect all variant types across relevant regions and sequence through low complexity regions like repeat expansions, promoters, and flanking regions of transposable elements. This webinar will provide an overview of multiplexed amplicon dataset analysis in SMRT Link and the command line and downstream analysis options.

In this webinar Bas Tolhuis will cover the points below, followed by a Q&A session:

  • Review recommendations for demultiplexing targeted sequencing data.
  • Learn about new features of targeted sequencing analysis in SMRT Link v10.1 (SARS-CoV-2 Analysis Application).
  • Explore several downstream applications (16S Microbiome Analysis, PacBio Amplicon Analysis or pbaa).
